Your Go-To Drum Kit
Drums for all genres, recorded in a spacious studio.
Recorded at Nave Studios, this versatile kit brings serious character and pedigree. Once a touring kit for the Kaiser Chiefs, it delivers a massive sound perfect for big rock productions or cinematic scoring. With carefully placed close mics, it can also be shaped into a tighter, more intimate tone when the track calls for subtlety.

About the Instrument
Recorded in the spacious hall of The Nave Studios, Blueprint: Drum Kit captures the power and presence of a larger-than-life setup. Featuring oversized drums, a broad selection of cymbals, and auxiliary percussion, the kit was performed with heavy sticks for maximum impact—ideal for action scoring and rock, yet adaptable to a wide range of styles.
Spot, overhead, and far microphone positions give you detailed control of the sound, while the advanced Punch and Hype controls—borrowed from our Epic Ensembles series—offer even more flexibility to sculpt your perfect mix.
In Action
The Interface
- Punch – Boosts the transient of each hit to add more attack/ punch.
- Hype – Applies compression, EQ and saturation to add weight and energy to the sound.
- Dampening – Fades out the tail of the hit to reduce the ambience.
- Stereo Width – Controls the stereo widening effect, turn clockwise to widen the signal, turn fully anticlockwise for a mono signal.
- Mic Mix – Control the amount of spot, overhead and room mics. Mute [M], Solo [S], and Purge [P] the raw layer and individual Atmosphere Layers from memory. Blend between a close and far mix.
- Sample Start – Increase the sample start time to reduce latency. Decrease the sample start time for more realism. The latency above is the correct number for the use of negative delay (pre-delay) in your DAW MIDI settings.
- Velocity Response – Control how much the volume of the instrument is controlled by the velocity input of your MIDI device.

Upgrade to Tom Factory
As composers, we often found cinematic percussion libraries either too bulky or overly reverberant for smaller action pieces or trailer music. Our goal with this library was to bridge the gap between intimate, crisp sounds and expansive, epic impacts.
We brought together 5 performers and over 35 drums—including Roto Toms, Octobans, Concert Toms, and Kick Drums—and spent 3 days capturing more than 80 articulations, ranging from solo drums to powerful ensemble configurations.
Tom Factory is designed as a comprehensive cinematic tom library, offering an exceptionally diverse range of sounds recorded in a superb acoustic space. These sounds are expertly processed into 6 distinct mixes and presented in a user-friendly Kontakt interface.
NKS support and Kontakt player compatibility
Blueprint: Drumkit offers full NKS support, giving you seamless integration with Native Instruments’ Komplete Kontrol keyboards.
